Pamela M. Willis-The Artist
About
Me

I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember! I create colorful and lively paintings on stretched canvas using mostly acrylic paint. My inspiration comes from all different things, but I'm most inspired by nature. I start with a basic color palette or subject in mind. I use a large brush and palette knife to apply the paint and move it around. A lot of times, this base coat will turn into something I can work with. I never know how the painting will end up. I spend at least 3 to 4 sessions working on a painting and make many changes until I feel satisfied. When working on a commissioned piece, I’m focused on the client and have a plan in mind. I love to create texture and thick strokes. I tend to use a lot of metallic and blue in my paintings. I love the distressed and almost gritty feel in my art. My favorite color right now is Prussian Blue, I can’t get enough of it! I like to paint flowers, trees, and landscapes. I like the unexpected and I love the whole process of discovering what my painting will become. Thanks for visiting!
